Maria Theresa Chandeliers
A Great European Tradition. Nothing is quite as elegant as the fine crystal that gave sparkle to brilliant evenings at palaces and manor houses across Europe.
In 1746, a new lyre-shaped chandelier was delivered to Maria Theresa s palace, and she was thoroughly enachanted. Ever since, this type of chandelier has borne her name. Models have flat steel branches, and each arm is clad on both sides with glass fillets secured with rosettes, precisely matching the curvature of arms.
Our exquisite versions from the Maria Theresa collection are decorated with various hand-cut and polished 24% lead crystal that capture and reflect the light of the candle bulbs, each resting in a scalloped bobache. The timeless elegance of these chandeliers is sure to lend a special atmosphere in every home.
Wrought iron - cast metal
Rich relief decoration and a variety of patina coatings give our cast metal, wrought iron light fittings a look that suggest the tranquility and tastes of a mannered past. They are created using the centuries old techniques of sand casting where our master founders cast, and after them chasers and girdlers finish all pieces by hand, one piece at a time. Whether these fittings are dressed with crystal trimmings or not, they can make an ordinary room look as if it belongs inside a country manor.
